On the night of Tuesday, November 21, the Russian occupiers launched another attack on Ukraine, using 4 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, an Iskander-K cruise missile and 11 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. In particular, Selidovo in the Donetsk region was again under fire. The Central City Hospital, the Kotlyarevskaya mine building and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, air defense forces and means destroyed the Iskander-K cruise missile and 10 attack UAVs.
The command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces clarified that the enemy launched 10 suicide bombers from Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation): “The enemy fired 4 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles in the Donetsk direction and one Iskander-K ground-based cruise missile from the Dzhankoy region (Crimea). As a result of combat work, the forces and means of the Air Force destroyed 9 enemy drones “Shahed-131/136” and one cruise missile “Iskander-K”.
In total, the enemy carried out 5 missile and 10 air strikes per day, and carried out 20 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. More than 110 settlements in Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk and Kherson regions came under artillery fire. Russian terrorist attacks have unfortunately resulted in civilian deaths and injuries. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged, in particular in Nikopol.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out assault operations in the areas of Sinkovka and east of Petropavlovka, Kharkov region, where the Defense Forces repulsed 10 attacks.

In the Bakhmut direction, our defenders repulsed 20 enemy attacks in the areas of Kleshchievka, Andreevka and east of the Southern Donetsk region. Also, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidating their positions on the achieved lines.

In the Avdeevka direction, the invaders do not abandon their attempts to cordon off Avdeevka. Our soldiers steadfastly hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the enemy. The enemy’s offensive actions east of Novobakhmutovka, Stepnoy, Avdiivka and Pervomaisky in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful, where the Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks.

In the Maryinsky direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Marinka, Pobeda and Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk region, where 12 attacks were repulsed by defense forces.

In the Shakhtarsky direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault operations in the Staromayorsky area of the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 2 attacks.

In the Zaporozhye direction, the enemy carried out assault operations near Robotinoy and north-west of Verbovoy, Zaporozhye region, but had no success.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction.

In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnieper.

In the Liman direction, the enemy is gathering reserves and regrouping in order to prepare for the continuation of attack operations,” — he said and added that heavy fighting continues near Bakhmut, the occupiers continue their offensive operations and are trying to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from positions in the Klishchievka area.
Over the past 24 hours, Defense Forces aircraft carried out 2 strikes on areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. The losses of enemy personnel by the morning of November 21 approached 320 thousand military personnel.

Let us recall that the ex-commander of the US Army in Europe, retired General Ben Hodges, noted that now only the ground part of the Ukrainian counteroffensive has slowed down and that its result should be the liberation of occupied Crimea. According to Hodges, Ukraine’s counteroffensive consists of multi-functional operations.
Meanwhile, The Washington Post writes that Russia hopes to exhaust the patience of the West and the material and personnel reserves of Ukraine, and then see the election of former President Donald Trump as the new American leader and a further weakening of US support for Ukraine.
