During the next recalculation of pensions, which will take place in Ukraine in April 2023, one of the categories of pensioners can count on an increase in payments. This was mentioned in the PFU.
Yes, from April 1, payments will be transferred to Ukrainians who have retired by age, but continue to work and receive insurance experience.
The amount of the pension will be increased if the last recalculation was carried out two years ago or earlier, that is, the length of service has increased by at least 24 months.
For example, if a person retired (or was recalculated) in 2021 and continues to work until now, then now he can count on an increase in payments.
How much the pension will increase depends on the length of service and wages. For each pensioner, the amount of recalculation is individual.
Bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine will carry out a recalculation based on the materials of pension cases and without a personal appeal of citizens. You do not need to submit an additional application.
The amount of the pension is transferred automatically. You can find out detailed information about surcharges after recalculation in your personal account on the PFU electronic services portal.
The pension after the April increase will begin to be paid in May.
In April, pensioners will also continue to receive monthly surcharges based on age.
The additions to the basic pension will be:
- for persons over the age of 70 - 300 UAH;
- for persons from 75 to 80 years old - 456 UAH;
- pensioners over the age of 80 - 570 UAH.
This additional payment is established regardless of the type of pension, the length of the insurance period and the fact of work, the law according to which the pension is assigned.
After this recalculation, the subsequent increase in pensions in Ukraine is planned in July 2023.
Pension payments will increase civil servants and scientists. We are talking about payments made before December 31, 2022, they will be indexed by a factor of 1.2.
Recall that in March in Ukraine there was a large-scale indexation of pensions. Payments have increased to more than 10 million pensioners, including liquidators of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Now the pensions of Chernobyl invalids cannot be less than 8,000 hryvnias.
