92-year-old Japanese runner Hiro Tanaka made a splash at the World Indoor Masters Championships track and field tournament in Torun, Poland.
In the age category over 90 years, the athlete ran the 60-meter race, while showing a phenomenal result - 10.95 seconds! Suffice it to say that the world record for this discipline is 6.34 seconds, and it took the 92-year-old grandfather not even twice as long to overcome this distance.

But at a distance of 400 meters, Tanaka could not become the best. From a fast start, Hero was six to seven seconds ahead of his pursuers, but just before the finish line, he was caught up and outstripped by two years by junior Australian David Carr, the world record holder in six disciplines in the 90+ age category.
Earlier, FACTS reported that a runner from China who smoked the entire marathon became an Internet sensation.
