In Ivano-Frankivsk, where they now pay an additional 20,000 hryvnias for the birth of a child, a masseuse accidentally set a client on fire while working. The victim died from her injuries.
This is stated in the verdict of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court.
According to the court, the woman received a client in May 2022. During a vacuum massage using glass jars, fire and alcohol-containing substances, the craftswoman spilled alcohol on the client’s body and the skin flared up.
The client of the masseuse received burns and was hospitalized in the regional hospital, where she later died. The defendant pleaded guilty and said that after the incident, she provided assistance to the client and took her to the burn department of the Regional Clinical Hospital of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council.
The masseuse repented of her deed and asked her not to punish her severely.
The woman was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced to 3 years in prison with a probationary period of 1 year.
