In Germany, a Ukrainian soldier who came to Europe for rehabilitation was brought to the hospital with various injuries.
As Novynarnya writes, this information, which was circulated on the social network, was confirmed by the Consul General of Ukraine. According to him, the Ukrainian military was hospitalized with a broken jaw and a concussion, he needs an operation.
This happened after the fighter was attacked by a security guard at the Roomers Hotel in Frankfurt am Main. The Caucasian (in social networks they write that he is a Chechen) did not like the fact that a Ukrainian entered the bar in a military uniform.
Consul General of Ukraine in Frankfurt Vadym Kostyuk told the publication that the consulate will provide the victim with the necessary legal and other assistance.
“According to our information, on Friday evening, our military man entered the hotel bar in uniform. After several remarks from the staff and the security of the hotel about the discrepancy with his dress code, there was a skirmish, and then a fight after an attempt by the security (a representative of the peoples of the Caucasus) to withdraw our fighter. As a result of the fight, our citizen had a broken jaw and concussion. The police have documented this.”- said the Consul General.
On Monday, March 13, the consulate will help the Ukrainian with documents to prepare for the jaw surgery, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14. In the future, it is planned to file a complaint with the police and search for a lawyer. Currently, the consulate is clarifying all the norms of the legislation of the two countries on the wearing of military uniforms by Ukrainian military personnel abroad and visiting such establishments in it.
According to preliminary information from the Consul General, a special permit must be obtained from Germany to wear a military uniform outside of service. For foreigners, it is allowed during joint exercises, internships and in other cases provided for by a separate bilateral agreement. Ukraine did not conclude such an agreement.
