I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job. I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others. I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.

In Ukraine, it is planned to update the rules of auto insurance. The corresponding bill passed the first reading in mid-January.

According to lawyer Tatiana Danilenko, in a commentary to a Ukrainian Internet resource, if the bill is approved, the “autocitizenship” system will undergo fundamental changes. In particular, the amount of insurance payments in case of accidents will increase, the list of vehicles that will definitely need insurance will expand, the terms for considering an application for insurance payment will change.

Simultaneously with the adoption of the law, OSGPO rates will increase, however, the amount of payments on policies will become significantly larger, however, insurers will compensate for losses faster - the time for consideration of an application for an insurance payment will be reduced from 90 to 60 days from the date of filing such an application. The maximum amount of insurance payment for damage caused to the property of the victims will also be canceled in the case of registration of documents on an accident by drawing up a Europrotocol.

Large payments are also expected by the victims: the amounts will eventually lead to the amounts established in the EU countries. After all, the insurer’s liability limit for harm caused to life and health is UAH 320,000 per victim (regardless of the number of victims), and for damage caused to the property of victims - UAH 160,000 per victim, but not more than UAH 800,000. UAH per insured event.

Therefore, the bill provides for a gradual increase in these amounts to 1 million hryvnia per victim and up to 2 million hryvnia for damage caused to the property of victims per insured event (regardless of the number of victims).

We also remind you that from January 19, 2023, new rules were introduced in Ukraine for passing a theoretical exam for obtaining a driver’s license at the Service Centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, while the changes affected both a number of issues and the procedure for taking the exam.
