The chaotic parking of residents’ cars in the yards of high-rise buildings almost led to tragedy when, on the morning of January 10, a fire broke out in one of the residential complexes of Sofiyivska Borshchagovka on the fifth floor of a multi-storey residential building. This was reported in the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of the Kyiv region.
The next guards of the 34th and 62nd State Fire and Rescue Units of Cherry were sent to the place of the call. Upon arrival, it was found that the kitchen and balcony were on fire, and heavy smoke was also stated.

However, it turned out to be impossible to get to the fire site due to cars parked tightly to the house, so the rescuers lost a lot of precious time.
However, 6 people from the upper floors of the house were successfully evacuated. The elimination of the fire took only 4 minutes, while the search for ways to the entrance took more than 20.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kyiv region once again calls for parking cars so that they do not interfere with the passage of special vehicles, because next time it may cost someone’s life.
Recall that before the war in Kyiv they planned to introduce a fee for parking a car in the courtyard of a high-rise building, but it is not known whether these plans are relevant now.
