It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others. I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.

On Thursday, December 29, the Romanian Organized Crime and Terrorism Department (DIICOT) detained notorious blogger Andrew Tate in Bucharest. His arrest sparked a flurry of comments on social media around the world. The popularity of the 36-year-old video blogger turned out to be incredible. Many Tate fans refuse to believe that their idol turned out to be a trickster who has been hanging noodles on their ears for the past few years.

FACTS decided to find out why this story made so much noise and became one of the main news in the last week of 2022.

Who is Andrew Tate?

Andrew Tate was born in the US in 1986 but is a British subject. As a teenager, he began to professionally engage in kickboxing and achieved notable success. Tate has won a number of prestigious world-class tournaments. However, at the age of 30, he ended his sports career and tried to become a TV star. In 2016, he took part in the British reality show Big Brother.

The audience liked Andrew, and many believed that he could win. But over time, there was a loud scandal. A video has surfaced showing Tate beating a woman with a belt. He was immediately removed from the show.

Andrew stated that the tape had been edited. “This is a complete lie! They’re trying to make me look bad.”Tate stated.

But the TV channels no longer wanted to work with him. And then Andrew became a video blogger. He posted videos on social media that showcased his wealth and free lifestyle. Tate called himself the world’s first “trillionaire”. He claimed to live in a mansion, which he turned into an impregnable fortress. The house seemed to have cost him a fortune.

Andrew showed users ultra-modern rooms with a bunch of video equipment. One of the rooms was turned into a real arsenal - weapons were everywhere. Tate also boasted of expensive cars.

He stated that he already had 33 of them. He especially liked to pose with a cigar and a bunch of banknotes on the table.

Former kickboxer launched online courses for men. He named the project “Hustler’s Academy”. Tate promised to teach everyone the art of conquering women, turning them into submissive performers of any sexual desires. By the way, the courses were paid - $ 45 per month per person. At the time of the “academician’s” arrest, 127,000 users from around the world signed up for Hustler’s Academy.

Tate convinced them that women love hard sex. “I’m not a rapist, but I like to do what I like. I love freedom in everything, he insisted.

Andrew also often said that “victims of sexual violence are responsible for the attacks against them”. These words led to the fact that almost all social networks blocked his accounts. By the way, in December, Elon Musk, who bought Twitter for $44 billion, lifted the blocking of Tate’s account.

What is Andrew Tate accused of?

He is suspected of human trafficking, rape and the creation of a criminal group. This group included Tate himself, his brother Tristan and two Romanian citizens, including a woman who had previously served in the Romanian police.

DIICOT alleges that Tate kept six women by force in his home. They were forced to participate in pornographic filming. The videos were then sold online or shown online to paid subscribers.

“Victims were recruited by British subjects, misleading them about the intention to marry and the presence of sincere feelings. Women were subjected to physical and psychological abuse, as well as sexual exploitation by members of a criminal group.”- the message of the Romanian special services says.

Where was Andrew Tate arrested?

It turned out that the last few years, Tate lived on the outskirts of Bucharest in a private house. The building can hardly be called a mansion in the traditional sense. However, its cost, together with all video equipment, is estimated at about 800 thousand dollars.

During a search of the house, they found various weapons and a lot of cash. The Romanian police do not name the exact amount.

The British media report that Tate is hardly a “trillionaire”. He doesn’t even reach the level of a billionaire. The fortune of the video blogger is estimated at about $ 100 million.

Tate claimed that he left the UK because the laws of that country forbade his bodyguards from carrying firearms. In fact, British law enforcement intended to arrest Andrew on suspicion of rape and distribution of pornography. He just ran away.

In Romania, Tate practically went into hiding. He sought to keep his whereabouts a secret.

How did you find Andrew Tate?

As soon as Elon Musk unblocked Tate’s Twitter account, the video blogger immediately became very active. It seems that Andrew just carried away for joy. Earlier this week, for some reason, he began to troll the famous eco-activist Greta Thunberg. A short argument broke out between the two on Twitter.

Tate, wanting to show that he does not care about the environment, recorded a two-minute video in which he offered Grety to give him her email address. “I will tell you in detail about my collection of cars and the damage their emissions do to the atmosphere!” - declared Andrew with a smirk.

At the same time, in one of the frames of the video, Tate is sitting at the table, and in front of him lies a closed pizza box. It clearly shows the name of the pizzeria.

This box helped the Romanian special services to figure out the place where the video blogger was hiding. They immediately came to visit Tate.

Upon learning of Andrew’s arrest, Greta could not resist and responded to his trolling. “Here’s What Happens When You Don’t Recycle Pizza Boxes” Thunberg wrote on Twitter.

On Friday, December 30, a DIICOT spokesman said that Andrew Teita, as well as his accomplices, were arrested for 30 days at the request of the Romanian prosecutor’s office.
