After the introduction of a comprehensive service in the “Action” for the simultaneous issuance of a “resettlement certificate” and IDP residence assistance, one can increasingly hear the question of whether it is mandatory to apply for financial assistance if the applicant only needs a certificate of registration. The answer to this question was given by the specialists of the Legal Adviser for IDPs.
“Receipt of housing assistance for IDPs in the amount of UAH 2,000 to UAH 3,000 per month, as well as issuance of a resettlement certificate, is in fact a right, not an obligation, of an internally displaced person. Or get both at the same time, everyone can decide on their own.
At the same time, registration of IDPs and the issuance of an appropriate document cannot be refused if the person has not applied for financial support for residence.“.
Moreover, the lawyers explain, when applying directly to the social protection authority or the offline administrative services center, you need to submit two separate applications: one for a certificate, the other for a living allowance.
“By registering as an IDP through the Action application, you can also decide whether you need financial assistance from the state or not. To refuse her appointment, you must put a corresponding mark when submitting an electronic application. An important nuance: failure to apply for assistance simultaneously with registration by an internally displaced person does not deprive the right to apply for financial assistance later“.
Recall that the IDPs were told how to get a new passport instead of the lost one - an IDP certificate will not be needed.
