On Peremogy Avenue in Kyiv, the trolleybus contact network, which was destroyed as a result of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, was resumed. From July 27, the movement of trolleybuses will resume there.
This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznik.
“On July 27, trolleybuses No. 5, 7 will resume operation and a new one will start working.
trolleybus route No. 5D,” he said.
In connection with the restoration of the contact network, the movement of the following trolleybuses will be organized:
- No. 5 from Belitskaya street to the metro station “Lva Tolstoy Square” according to a permanent scheme;
- No. 7 from Chernobylskaya Street to the metro station “Lva Tolstoy Square” on a permanent basis;
- No. 5D from Svobody Avenue to the metro station “Lva Tolstoy Square”.
At the same time, it is reported that the movement of the temporary trolleybus route No. 5A from Belitskaya Street to Chernobylskaya Street will be stopped.
Earlier, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Aleksey Reznikov said that there would be no attack on Kyiv by Belarus, since at present the number of Russian contingents on Belarusian territory is not enough for such a step.
