He also noted that the directions of development of POLSA and the Polish space sector are in line with NASA’s plans, so joint projects are only a matter of time.
Poland in the Artemis mission
During the meeting, Nelson said that Poland is a valuable partner and ally by joining the Artemis Accord in October 2021. The program, which currently has 25 participating countries, provides an opportunity to participate in NASA’s multilateral exploration-related programs. such as the Moon and Mars.

NASA has fulfilled the dream of a man standing on the moon, has developed many breakthrough technologies, explores other celestial bodies and the distant universe, and every space mission is an important step for humanity. The American delegation also met with students from Polish technical universities, participants in the international competition European Rover Challenge, who presented award-winning rovers and rocket designs.
Nelson’s visit to Poland will last until June 2. During this time, a representative of the US space agency will meet with companies from the Polish space industry, which will present their products to him. It will culminate in a meeting with young people at the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw.
