If we wanted to close the CPK project, we would have to do it as soon as possible,” Maciej Lasek, the government’s plenipotentiary representative for CPK, said on TVN24. The project is currently undergoing an audit, the results of which are expected to become known later this half of the year.
Maciej Laszek, plenipotentiary representative of the CCP, was a guest of TVN24 on Saturday. Lasek stressed that the CPC project will be subject to verification. – Today it is not discussed whether we close or not close the CPC. If we wanted to close the CPC project, we would have to do it as soon as possible. The audit is being carried out in order, as we clearly said in the election campaign and the Prime Minister’s exposure, to put this project on its feet, that is, to rationalize it – said the government representative to the CCP.
Lasek on the CPC audit
Lasek spoke about the competition to conduct an audit of the CPC project. – The procedure has been launched, the competition will be held, it must be transparent (…). A large company will conduct a large audit and we are waiting for proposals – – said the guest to TVN24.
We will meet with the audit contractor in March, and the results of the work will be known in the first half of this year. – Earlier elements that are already being implemented are the end of the first quarter – – Lasek said.
“Our predecessors spent a lot of time here. We wouldn’t need the audit if it weren’t for the fact that we go into the company, ask the engineers if the schedules are realistic, and they say: “We’re very sorry, but we said they weren’t realistic.” We don’t know how much it will cost, so we need it, there will be an audit – added.
Last week, at the request of the previous government plenipotentiary representative in the KPK, Marcin Gorala, a debate on investment took place in the Sejm. Lasek stressed that the project’s current schedule of opening in 2028 is unrealistic. He accused his predecessor of being “seven to eight years behind” on the investment schedule.
According to the current government plenipotentiary at the CPC, the previous team showed that “it is impossible to carry out any, even simple investments in infrastructure at normal costs.” , “and it cost twice as much and still worked. No”. – It will probably cost 2.5 billion zlotys. Was it impossible to estimate the costs of such a simple investment? – – asked the TVN24 guest.

The CPC is 100 percent. belongs to the State Treasury.
