Today the Seimas adopted an amendment to the law on the application of mObywatel. Thanks to the amendment, the country will be able to use documents in the application, including an identity card, on an equal footing with traditional documents. The deputies supported most of the amendments of the Senate, which introduce, in particular, the Deputy ID and the mobile bike card.
Recall that the deputies adopted an amendment to the law on the use of a resident on March 9 this year. Three weeks later, the Senate proposed a number of amendments to it, which the Seimas considered today.

The deputies supported most of the amendments of the Senate, which, in particular, to introduce into the law provisions on the implementation of the mandate of a deputy and a senator, allowing the joint use of an identity card of a deputy and a senator in the form of a mobile document, i.e. mLegitymacji. They also add a mobile bike card to the mObywatel app linked to the mLegitymacja szkolna service. They also make it easier for you to apply for an identity card – you can apply, for example, in the mObywatel app.
The amendment will allow the use of documents in the application in the country, including an identity card, on a par with traditional documents. The only exception would be to cross the border and apply for a new ID. The regulation will also allow local governments and other organizations to submit local documents to mObywatel, such as a city resident card or membership cards, such as a senior club, a sports club or others.
Services of electronic tax inspection
Within the framework of mObywatel, electronic tax inspection services will be available. It will also be possible to pay online for administrative services such as issuing documents, applications or paying stamp duty.
President Andrzej Duda will now decide the fate of the amendment to the mObywatel application law.
