According to Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin, the construction of a nuclear power plant in Pontnov, according to a “very preliminary estimate”, could cost about 100 billion zlotys.
According to preliminary estimates, the construction of the nuclear power plant, which will be built in cooperation with ZE PAK, PGE and the Korean concern KHNP, will cost about PLN 100 billion, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Assets Jacek. This was reported by Sasin to Polsat News.

The most likely place for investment will be Pontnov, although, as Deputy Prime Minister Sasin noted, the issue has not yet been finally resolved.
“This requires further research, but today this place looks like a potential site. There are preliminary schedules, there is also a very preliminary estimate,” he said.
Companies sign an agreement on the construction of a nuclear power plant
On March 7, PGE and ZE PAK signed an agreement to establish a special purpose vehicle that will cooperate with the Korean concern KHNP in the construction of a nuclear power plant. The special purpose vehicle, built by PGE and ZE PAK, is to represent the Polish side in negotiations with the Koreans.
Once formally established, the company must conduct a feasibility study, site survey and environmental impact assessment for the purposes of the planned construction of a nuclear power plant.

The nuclear power plant in Pontnowo, implemented by ZE PAK and PGE in cooperation with the Korean company KHNP, will be the first commercial nuclear project in Poland. At the first stage of investment, it is planned to build two units with two Korean APR1400 reactors with a capacity of 1400 MW each.
- We assume that the first stage of construction will include the construction of two blocks. The year 2035 is the date when electricity was supplied from the first reactor,” said PGE President Wojciech Dąbrowski.
