The Pole broke the world record in “Kid”

Must read

The game “Kid”, or “Ski Jump Deluxe 2”, which shone at the peak of popularity in the late 90s, is now returning thanks to a Pole who has broken a 20-year-old game record.

Adam Baldyga, alias AdikAB, flew 301.5 meters on a fictional springboard in Australia. Thus, he broke the 2002 record. On November 9, 2002, another Pole, Remigiusz Gurniak, jumped 300 meters and 82 centimeters.

This is not the first record of the Pole. Australia is ranked 19th where Adam Baldyga has jumped the longest in the world. Despite the record jump, AdikAB said it could go even further.

Deluxe Ski Jump 2. Legendary game

Deluxe Ski Jump 2 was released in 2015. It was created by fin Jussi Koskel. The game has gained immense popularity in Poland. This coincided with the sporting success of Adam the Kid, which is why the game was commonly referred to as “The Kid”.

Apart from the popularity of ski jumping in Poland, the game had other advantages. First of all, it was simple gameplay and minimal requirements, thanks to which the game, ported to a floppy disk, could be run on almost any computer.

After DSJ2, another version was created, but it did not gain such popularity.
