After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, several powerful cyber-attacks were repelled against the state resources of our country and banking institutions. And now the Ukrainian Government Computer Emergency Response Team CERT-UA under the State Special Communications Service warned of a new threat from the hacker group Armageddon – it is now sending out dangerous emails with the subject line “No. 1275 of 04/07/2022”.
These letters contain an HTML file, the opening of which will lead to the creation of an archive on the computer with a file called “On the facts of persecution and murder of employees of the Prosecutor’s Office by the Russian military in the temporarily occupied territories. lnk”. Its opening, in turn, will lead to the ability of hackers to gain complete control over your computer and threaten to steal confidential information, damage data and computer systems.
Since the group’s hackers use NO-IP’s Dynamic DNS service, among other things, special attention must be paid to connecting to domain names used by said service.
Previously, the same hacker group carried out cyberattacks both on the state bodies of Ukraine and on the EU countries.
