Magdalena French had to fight for a place at the WTA 1000 tournament in Doha through qualification. She easily defeated Kamila Rakhimova and was able to prepare for the fight in the first round. Magdalena Frech’s short adventure with WTA 1000 Doha

The start of the match could have been extremely successful for the Polish representative. The Frenchman had two break points, but the Belarusian equalized and then took the game. Later, the Pole defended against a break in favor of Azarenka. Before the loss, there were many similar defenses on both sides of the court. However, it was the 26-year-old guy who broke down first. The Belarusian did it in the fourth game, after the ball hit by French went out of bounds. The first break led to another break, putting Azarenka within striking distance of winning the set. Ultimately, she succeeded, winning 6:3.

The second set started favorably for the former WTA ranking leader. She immediately broke French, but did not remain in debt. After some time, she “repaid” her rival in the same way. Azarenka did not give up, taking another game on the Lodz player’s serve. The Pole kept her level the entire time. She was also able to beat Azarenka for the second time and after some time took a 4:3 lead, adding even more emotion to the fight. The Pole was in excellent form, winning five games in a row. With a score of 1:3 she won with a score of 6:3.

The last game started much calmer than the previous one. Both Azarenka and French started with victories on their own serve. For the next dozen minutes, one thing did not give way to another. With the score tied at 3-3, no one could predict who would win the set or the entire match. The first break occurred only in the eighth game. The Belarusian took the lead with a score of 5:3. After a few tens of seconds, she dotted all the i’s and won the entire match.
