Bartosz Kwolek for “Vprost”: “Missing to zero is also mobilization”

Must read

The time has come for revenge in the “Polish” two-legged semi-final of the CEV Cup. On Thursday (February 8th) evening match number two will take place between Aluron CMC Warta and Asseco Resovia.

In the first match in Rzeszow, the hosts won convincingly in three sets. A surprisingly easy victory went to Asseco Resovia, which had problems with Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie only in the first set, which it won with a score of 25:22. The next games, won with scores of 25:16 and 25:23, were much easier and more enjoyable for the winners.

Bartosz Kwolek for “Wprost” about the two-legged match with “Asseco Resovia Rzeszow”

In the first meeting of both teams, Resovia could count on the high form of the attacking trio of Tory DeFalco, Yacine Louati and Stephen Boyer, as well as the excellent play of Karol Klos (seven blocks!) – they did not allow the visitors from Zawieriec to do too much.

– In Rzeszow we were hit on the head, and sometimes we need a bucket of cold water. However, we are a strong group and this will certainly help us prepare for the rematch. We will have high motivation to change the situation in the quarter-finals of the CEV Cup. Such defeats to zero are also mobilization for even greater preparation of individual elements of the team’s functioning. To show that we can rehabilitate ourselves and win fights under great pressure,” Kwolek admitted in an interview with “Prostu”.

In addition, the owner of Aluron CMC Warty and a former representative of Poland admitted that his team’s approach to playing in European competition is as serious as the fight for points in PlusLiga.

– We, of course, take the game in the CEV Cup seriously. We did not go to different countries, for example Romania, where volleyball is not yet at the highest level to give up now. Because we didn’t want to be a part of it, but since we were in fourth place, that’s what happened. We certainly don’t have that kind of dismissive approach,” said “Quolo,” recounting great emotions in his rematch with Asseco Resovia.
