Jason George, 22, who is currently on loan from Bayern Munich to Nieners Chemnitz, was tested for doping after a league match against Rostock Seawolves. According to Bild daily, two drugs were found in his system. “According to the information we received, traces of methamphetamine and ecstasy were found in the urine of a football player,” the German newspaper reported.
Now the basketball player faces a long penance. At the moment, he is suspended until the end of the playoffs of the Basketball Bundesliga, in which his team starts on May 17th. According to the rules of the league, the detection of prohibited substances in the body of players is punishable by disqualification for four years. It is worth noting that immediately after the end of the match, Jason George tried to bypass the anti-doping control, so he knew what awaited him.

The situation is sad because many basketball experts considered the 22-year-old one of the greatest and most promising talents in German basketball.
