Although there is still a lot of time left before the start of the volleyball season, specialists are already clamoring that Nikola Grbic and the Polish national team are in for big problems. What is it about?
On April 26, we found out which of the volleyball players Nikola Grbic will bet on in 2023 during the representative season. There were as many as 30 players in the wide roster announced by the breeder. The Serbian has announced that he will change his squad frequently, especially during the League of Nations, so many will have a chance. Despite this, experts see a certain threat to our staff.
Nikola Grbic will have problems with this in the Polish national team
The coach of the white-reds, of course, classically surprised with some of his decisions. Fabian Cizga, already expelled last year, was absent from the group of nominees. Although the quarterback had a very good club season, he did not convince Grbic. In addition, he did not dare to give a chance to Maciej Muzaj, another player who recently shone in PlusLiga.
However, experts do not consider these positions to be the least filled. Jakub Bednaruk, for example, believes that the Polish national team is currently suffering from a lack of good enough liberos. At Polsat Sport, he argued that the selector was a tough nut to crack.
This is the weak point of the Polish team.
– Average Pavel Zatorski, Jakub Popivchak played better last season. Kuba Gavrilyuk is still the melody of the future, and Kamil Shimura is not always a six in Lubin, - said the well-known coach and expert. Therefore, he considers casting for the position of libero as the Achilles’ heel of our team.
In response to this thesis, Jerzy Mielewski, who was in the studio, cited statistics according to which Zatorski occupies only 20th place in the hierarchy of the most popular PlusLiga players. Popivchak is in 21st place and Gavrilyuk is in 41st place. Interestingly, Shimura took first place - 8th place, although he did not always play regularly.
