We know Poland’s line-up for the second weekend of the Ski Jumping World Cup. Coach Thomas Thurnbichler has put his cards on the table by selecting a team that will fight to recover from a very disappointing debut in Ruka, Finland. This time the jumpers will be jumping in Lillehammer, Norway. The ladies are starting the season too.

The excitement arose after the unsuccessful opening of the Ski Jumping World Cup by the Polish team. Kamil Stoch had his worst start in a decade (neither in the final series nor in the final series, and also dropped out in Sunday qualifying), Pavel Vonsek and Aleksandar Zniszol were left without points. Only Dawid Kubacki and Piotr Zyla defended the honor of Polish ski jumping, winning the first points of the 2023/24 season. The first one even two days in a row.

It is worth adding that before the start of the new season, the Poles trained on the Norwegian ski jump under the leadership of Thomas Thurnbichler. Therefore, the whites and reds know an object that can allow them to achieve better results than on the Rukatunturi jump in Ruka.

– The first training session in Lillehammer has ended. The lineup for next weekend will remain the same. The same athletes will start in Lillehammer. Here we have the opportunity to do two training sessions on the hill and we will use this to do more jumps and gain confidence in ourselves. Meanwhile, Team B will begin training on snow in Central Europe. After Lillehammer, further decisions regarding Klingenthal’s composition will be made, Thurnbichler admitted.

On behalf of the chronicler, the composition of the Poles will be as follows: David Kubacki, Kamil Stoch, Pawel Wonsek, Alexander Zniszczol and Piotr Zyla.

It is worth adding that the Women’s World Cup starts next weekend. The competition, like the men’s competition, will be held in Lillehammer. In Norway, Poland will be represented by three national team players: Pola Beltowska, Natalia Slowik and Anna Twardosz.

When is the next ski jumping world championship, where can I watch it?

After the competition in Ruka, another test for the best ski jumpers in Norway. The World Championship competitions will be moved to Lillehammer. The jumpers will perform next weekend, that is, from December 1 to 3.
