Zbigniew Boniek is merciless towards Polish players. He talked about his dream

Must read

The balance of the Polish national team in the qualifying matches for the European Championship this year was three wins, two draws and three defeats. Zbigniew Boniek sharply commented on what was happening in qualifying. He said that he had one dream.

Polish players failed to leave Group E in the qualifying rounds for the European Championship 2024. We fought with Albania, the Czech Republic, Moldova and the Faroe Islands for tickets to Germany. According to many experts, the “white-red” should not have any difficulties qualifying for this tournament. As a result, the first two mentioned teams reached the finals, and we will fight in the playoffs.

Disastrous eliminations of Polish players

We started qualifying for the Euro under the leadership of Fernando Santos, who has achieved a lot in his career. Unfortunately, we played very poorly in the first match and lost to the Czech Republic with a score of 1:3. It is worth recalling that in this match we were losing 0:2 after two minutes. The next match gave us more hope because we won against Albania 1:0.

Unfortunately, in June, after winning a friendly match with Germany, the team lost the match to Moldova with a score of 2:3. After beating the Faroe Islands, we lost to Albania, which led to the sacking of Fernando Santos and the hiring of Michal Probiz. Although the results were better as we did not lose a single match (a win over the Faroe Islands and two draws against Moldova and the Czech Republic), we failed to achieve direct promotion. As a result, the balance of our players was three wins, two draws and three losses.

Zbigniew Boniek is merciless towards Polish players

Zbigniew Boniek summed up these defeats for the Whites and Reds in one tweet. The former president of the Polish Football Association did not mince words and directly expressed his opinion on these results.

“I’m not defending anyone, not leaving this group is a football disgrace. In the playoffs we will face even worse teams. Let’s see what happens. I would like to see Polish players at Euro 2024. Nothing extra. A simple dream of a former representative,” Bonek wrote.
