There hasn’t been such a crisis in the Polish team for a long time. Michal Probez will be helped to cope with this by the most experienced players – Robert Lewandowski and Kamil Grosicki. The latter told what happened after the match with the Czechs.
Kamil Grosicki is one of the oldest and most experienced players in the Polish national team. The winger made his international debut during Leo Beenhakker’s reign on 2 February 2008 during a friendly match against Finland. Polish footballers have been criticized lately, but this is not surprising given recent results and poor qualifying rounds. With a draw in the match with the Czech Republic at the November training camp, we missed the last chance to directly qualify for Euro 2024. Now we will have to fight to reach the playoffs.
Kamil Grosicki about the atmosphere in the frame
In the Sport.pl LIVE program, Kamil Grosicki answered questions about the atmosphere in the team, despite the poor results. The winger acknowledged that Poland captain Robert Lewandowski plays a significant role in building the atmosphere in the team and said he is open to talking to younger players to give them advice and tips.
“As a senior player, I also help him provide a good atmosphere in our locker room, because that’s the most important thing,” Grosicki said.
What happened after the match with the Czech Republic?
His words are confirmed by photographs from PGE Narodowy, when after the match with the Czech Republic all the players stood in a circle in the middle of the field. The most experienced players gave speeches. The Pahonia-Szczecin player told what happened immediately after the 1:1 draw.
– I started talking, then Wojtek Szczesny, Robert Lewandowski. It was our initiative, the eldest in the detachment. In the Czech Republic I saw a team that wants to win and play the best they can. What about the rest? This will remain between us. “We wanted to highlight that there is something to build on,” the winger said.
In the last match of the November training camp, the Polish national team will hold a sparring match against Latvia. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21 at 8:45 p.m. The live broadcast of this match will be available on the Polsat Sport Premium 1 and TVP channels, as well as online on the Polsat Box Go streaming service and on the website sport.tvp.pl.
