The Czechs knew about the problems of the Polish players. “They were overconfident”

Must read

Czech national team manager Tomas Pesir was a guest of the Primak program on the pages of the Czech site sport.cz. In it, he mentioned the preparation of the Poles for the match with Jaroslav Silyavi and the behavior of Fernando Santos after the match. One shocked the coaching staff of the Czechs.

The match against the Czech Republic will be hard for Fernando Santos’ team to forget, even taking into account the fact that during this time they managed to beat Albania 1-0. Fans of the “white-reds” could not imagine that the first two minutes of possession of the Portuguese would start with two goals conceded, but it happened. The echoes of this match do not stop, and they are still talking about it in the Czech media, which is not surprising, because the opponents of our group drew 0:0 when their opponent was Moldova. One expert made a particularly interesting point.

The manager of the Czechs is harsh on the actions of the Poles

Former football player Jagiellonia Bialystok and Bogdanka Lenchna, and the current team manager of Jarosław Siljava Tomasz Pesir drew attention to the exaggerated self-confidence of the Poles before the match with the Czech Republic. In his opinion, they came to Prague very self-confident and too sure of success, which subsequently backfired on them. He added that they knew the Whites and Reds were struggling with problems.

“We had information that there is still no chemistry in the team. We knew that their defenses and reserves were crumbling. That’s why I hoped that we would get better, and in the end it turned out to be true. Before the match there is always an official training, the Poles were so sure that they did not even come to it. This was the first sign that they felt at ease. During the match, I did not look at the Polish bench, because two bombs fell at the very beginning, which made me euphoric, - said the manager of the Czech team.

Tomas Pesir spoke about the not very good behavior of Fernando Santos

The Czech manager also drew attention to the fact that immediately after the explosion, the Poles did not want to exchange observations with their compatriots and did not talk to them. Fernando Santos did the same.

– I always try to talk to people from the opposite federation, but I didn’t contact the Poles at all. After the game, Santos quickly came over to shake Silhavy’s hand and then disappeared,” said Tomas Pesir.
