On Friday, February 24, in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw for the 1/8 finals of the Europa League was held, where Shakhtar Donetsk made it through thanks to a dramatic victory in the penalty shootout over the French Rennes.
According to the regulations, the Pitmen’s opponent should be one of the winning clubs of the Europa League group stage. As a result, Igor Jovićević’s wards will fight for reaching the quarterfinals with the Dutch Feyenoord. The first match will take place in Warsaw on March 9, the second leg on March 16 on the opponent’s field.
