Yesterday the world learned about the death of Ahmet Eyüp Turkaslan, the goalkeeper of the first league team Yeni Malatyaspor. The body of a 28-year-old man was found in the ruins of the house where he was at the time. The player’s club issued an official statement regarding his tragic death. Unfortunately, this is not the only sad news from the world of sports that has come to us from abroad.
Turkish media reported that another football player, Taner Kahriman, died as a result of the cataclysm. The 25-year-old defender suffered very serious injuries as a result of the earthquake, and despite a long rescue operation and transportation to the hospital, his life could not be saved.
