PZPN has started negotiations with a potential coach of the Polish national team. An experienced coach who has already achieved success at the international level can become the new mentor of the “white-reds”. We are talking about Vladimir Petkovich.
Shortly before Christmas, it became clear that Czesław Mihniewicz would no longer be in charge of the Polish national team. He was allegedly surprised by Cesarius Kulesha’s decision, although the public was not at all. This was to be expected as PZPN had been checking for many instructors for a long time. Many candidates have applied to our federation.

Among the coaches mentioned in the context of taking over the reins of the Byalo-Chervony team, many well-known names appeared. At the beginning, Andriy Shevchenko was mentioned, then several stars were to come to our union, such as Claudio Ranieri, Andrea Pirlo and Paulo Bento.
According to sportfakty.wp.pl, the PZPN has already started specific negotiations with one candidate. “The Federation is negotiating with Vladimir Petkovich. He is a recognized coach who is best known for having worked with the Swiss national team for many years with very good results. He led this team from August 2014 to July 2021.
During his tenure, the Helvetians reached the 1/8 finals of the 2018 World Cup, at the same stage they lost to Poland at Euro 2016, and in the last Old Continent Championship they reached the quarterfinals, where they lost to Spain after a penalty. Later, Petković briefly led the Girondins of Bordeaux, but without much success. However, it is not known whether this coach will lead the White-Reds. It’s no secret that he can’t complain about the lack of offers.
