Poland lost 1-3 to France after two goals from Kylian Mbappe and one from Olivier Giroud. Robert Lewandowski scored the honorary goal for the White-Reds. Shortly after the match, the Poland striker admitted that fighting France was not enough to achieve success.
“If we look at the game through the prism of the game, we will give it our all. We created chances, especially in the first half. We fought, tried to play, but for today it was not enough. We scored a goal in the end, it was a positive incentive,” said Robert Lewandowski.

“It is a pity that the first goal. There was a moment when we moved too far back, which the French took advantage of. It happens. They would have kept trying and if we had scored it might have turned out differently. There was not enough skill and time to win something more, - said RL9.

According to Robert Lewandowski, playing defense does not bring any joy. When asked about his future with the team, he did not make a clear statement.
“The next World Cup is still far away. The joy of the game is needed even in the near future. When we try to attack, everything is different, when we play defense, there is no joy, - added the Polish captain.
