Pavel Voitsky honestly spoke about his decision to end his sports career and become the coach of Chyorny Radom. The former quarterback admitted that he thought coaching was not for him, but ultimately decided to accept the offer.
Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom did not start the current PlusLiga season very well. The volleyball players of the Mazovian club have lost as many as ten out of 12 matches, which puts them in the penultimate 15th place in the table. Only the BBTS Bielsko-Biała team is worse, with two points.
Poor results led to the dismissal of coach Jacek Nawrocki as Czarne Radom coach. He will be replaced in this position by Pavel Voitsky, who started this PlusLiga season as a player.
Pavel Voitsky: I thought it was not for me
In an interview with plusliga.pl, the former volleyball player admitted that there was an option to combine team training with a game, but that day it was unacceptable. “I am a conscious person to some extent, I already know what a load it is to be a coach in a professional league, including from the psychological side,” he said, adding that he made the only right decision about sports care very quickly.
Wojki said that he did not plan for this turn of events and that he will someday have the opportunity to train in PlusLiga. – Working with Vital Heinen, I realized how big a responsibility it is, how much work this profession requires. I thought maybe it’s not for me. When I finished playing, I wanted to take less on my shoulders, and not add weight to myself, he gave out.
Voiki: Few get a chance to lead a PlusLiga team
However, Wojki said there are two sides to the medal and few get the chance to lead a team in the PlusLiga. – From this point of view, I am very happy that this happened to me, and I realize that this is a great honor. Someone trusted me and entrusted the team. I hope I can do it,” he said.
The quarterback has already been asked what his plans are at the beginning of his work as a Chyorny Radom coach. Wojki replied that he wanted to improve those elements that could be fixed as quickly as possible.
- We have a group of people who want to work, this has been the case since the beginning of the season, we cannot blame our commitment to training. The readiness to work is huge,” he replied, adding that the biggest challenge would be making a diagnosis, causing the team’s morale to slacken.
Finally, Pavel Voitsky, when asked what was his first morning after waking up with the coach Cerrad Enea Czarnech Radom, answered that he had been thinking for a long time how to conduct the first and second training. “I didn’t have time to think about the decision I made the day before. The pen has fallen, and you have to accept the challenge, he concluded.
