Lewandowski has 4 more games to play in Spain this season (38 instead of 34), but even if he continues to stay in shape, many La Liga records seem out of his reach. Not even Leo Messi’s 474 goals (35), for which he worked for 17 years (2004-21). The Argentine has won the Trofeo Pichichi, the league’s top scorer, eight times. His number of goals in a season (50) and a calendar year (59) also seems to be exaggerated to the limit. One of the few records that neither Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo holds (37) is the fastest hat-trick. He was shot by Bebeto (58) in 4 minutes 43 seconds.
The good news is that Levi won’t be competing against Messi in the magical form of 10 years ago (he scored an incredible 91 goals in all competitions back then). Karim Benzema (35) was recently top scorer with 27 goals. In the previous 13 seasons, Trofeo Pichichi has only made one player with fewer goals.
However, “Polish” records should appear soon. Before Levi, only 21 of our compatriots played in La Liga. Lewandowski needs to score 12 goals in order to reach the podium in the shooters classification ahead of Wojciech Kowalczyk (50). Roman Kosiecki (56) is higher with 19 goals and Jan Urban (60) who scored 49 goals.

Robert Lewandowski has broken nearly every shooting record in the Bundesliga. Will it go down in history in Spain as well?
