At the end of February, the Russians started the war in Ukraine. Millions of local residents decided to seek asylum outside their country. A significant part of the refugees ended up in Poland. But they still need help. This was noticed by Iga Sviontek, who from the very beginning of this armed aggression openly opposed the actions of the state of Vladimir Putin.

During tournaments, a young polka performs with a ribbon on her cap in the national colors of Ukraine. Moreover, after the triumph at this year’s Grand Slam, Roland Garros turned to our eastern neighbors, giving them words of support and words of encouragement. Now she has taken another step forward.
