The trial against the former deputy head of the NBU, and now people’s deputy Borys Prikhodko, who is accused in the case of the theft of UAH 2.069 billion from the accounts of the guarantor of Ukraine’s food security PJSC Agrarian Fund, will continue, because the decision of the Darnytskyi District Court, according to which the expiration of the period of the pre-trial investigation, after the person was informed of the suspicion, the proceedings against Prikhodko were closed, the prosecutor’s office filed an appeal. After the decision of the first instance in his favor, Boris Prikhodko published a number of materials in the media, which may indicate an attempt to whiten his reputation by accusing the courts of stealing billions. – wrote “Apostrophe”.

The editors of “Apostrophe” quoted a quote from the people’s deputy for the media: “Judicial red tape, almost 10 years long, does not add optimism to investors, who at any moment can suffer and lose everything due to judicial arbitrariness. Unfortunately, there are such frequent cases in different regions. In order for foreign investors not to be afraid to invest in the Ukrainian economy, it is necessary to ensure a truly independent and corruption-free judicial system. It will not be easy, but we must do it if we want to become part of the EU and attract investment.”

“Apostrophe” recalled that the case of Boris Prikhodko lasted more than 9 years – the prosecutor’s office demanded to take into custody, as well as the ex-chairman of PJSC “Agrarian Fund” Alexander Kiryuk for 12 years with complete confiscation of property.
