Must read

In recent weeks, city councils have made a decision to appeal to the president to veto urban planning law 5655. This is reported by the Association of Ukrainian Cities.

According to them, the relevant decisions have already been made by the Hayvoron city territorial community, Stryi city council (Lviv region), Lutsk city council, Ivano-Frankivsk city council, Lviv city council, Vinnitsa city council, Chernivtsi city council, Belopolsky city council. , Lubensky district council (Poltava region).

Recall, the Association of Ukrainian Cities appealed to the President of Ukraine regarding the veto on 5655. The petition to the President regarding the veto has already gained 42090 votes.

Earlier, the mayor of Nikolaev, Alexander Senkevich, also opposed the law, which introduces changes to urban planning legislation, and believes that the President of Ukraine should veto it.

He expressed his conviction that this law was “lobbied by large developers” and the cap is burning on the screaming “stop the thief”.

“I have been mayor for the past six years. In fact, all the problematic issues on which people came to me, pulled out my hands in the reception room, who went on strike and shouted that we would live here with you – we just showed them: “Guys, look. All documents for the start of work were issued in Kyiv. Documents on the acceptance into operation of some objects were adopted in Kyiv. We also had supermarkets of a well-known network and other objects built against the rules, off topic and in violation of all housing and building codes. And the fences that appeared in the city center, no one knows how. We don’t know anything about it, and then a fence goes up. I say: “What is this fence?”. And they answer me: “We don’t know. No one received any permits.” It turns out that in Kyiv they got everything, they came and started. And now this issue has simply been actually transferred to Kyiv, and we will be silent witnesses of the chaotic development. Therefore, we proposed to the president (we are the Association of Cities of Ukraine) to veto this law as violating the rules and rights of local self-government. Secondly, today, no matter what we do there, there will be a mechanism, there will be some private GASKs that will do something there. We have information about private technical supervision, about various organizations that are being created today, but there is no criminal control, and therefore there may be trouble. Therefore, we are against this law.” – said the mayor of Nikolaev.

Recall that ex-People’s Deputy Oleksandr Chernenko commented on the statement of the G7 ambassadors on bill 5655.
