We are talking about prescription milk at a discount for children with the most severe form of allergies. It does not help to explain that other milk can harm the baby for life.
A severe form of food allergy in a young child is manifested by diarrhea, often with mucus or blood, vomiting, itchy skin rash, sleep disturbance, anxiety, crying, lack of weight gain. As a result, weaker development - which is especially dangerous, because this is the period when the child develops the fastest in his entire life. In extreme cases, a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction can occur. “Wine” is cow’s milk protein.
- For such children, instead of modified milk, so-called. hydrolysed formulas in which cow’s milk proteins are “cut” into smaller particles. They start with formulations with a low degree of hydrolysis, and if the child has severe allergic manifestations, he switches to mixtures with a high degree of hydrolysis, or the so-called. mixtures of elements consisting of synthetic amino acids, explains Dr. Leszek Olchowik, a pediatrician, allergist and pulmonologist with extensive experience, among other things, works in the Children’s Wellness Center, is appreciated by the parents of small allergies for how well they treat them.
