Celebrity lifeguard in mom’s case Gynecologist: “Any dick who has a friend in any industry is good to know”

Nicole Sochacki-Wujcicka, known online as Gyno Mom, has caused quite a storm after she candidly admitted on live television that she happens to put her friends out of action.

“Emilka wrote to me today asking if she could come and do an ultrasound. I wrote: yes, yes, I finish work in 40 minutes, then come,” she said. And then she explained: “Why are my friends testing with me? It’s normal for every doctor to take care of his family and friends in his spare time. Every doctor This is a way to shorten the queues, to reduce access to doctors.”

An avalanche began, and other institutions began to respond. The case was transferred to the medical chamber, it is being handled by the National Health Fund and the UCCCR, which announced the appointment of a control team (a gynecologist mother works as an intern in the department of pregnancy pathology in the laboratory of ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, fetal defects and therapy of the University Center for Women’s and Newborn Health of the Warsaw Medical University).

Commentators do not leave a dry thread about the most recognizable medical authority in Poland. “I feel like someone spat in my face. When I remember how long in my life I stood in line to the doctor, how difficult it was for me to get to specialists, neurologists, cardiologists, geneticists, my blood boils. I consider myself a calm person, but here the measure has changed,” wrote Wojciech Sawicki, an author known online as Life on Wheelz (Sawicki suffers from muscular dystrophy and moves in a wheelchair).

Jan Switala, a paramedic, author of the book “Polish SOR”, known online as Janek, also mentioned this case bluntly. But he directly condemned not the gynecologist mom, but the institutions responsible for the healthcare system in Poland.

“Everyone who has a dude in any industry benefits from connections. Who does not have - combine as they can. Those who succeed don’t give a damn about those who follow them. Those who claim otherwise are lying or have not yet faced the PSI, the NFZ, the prosecutor’s office, or debt collection. There is nothing surprising in this - after all, the level of unreality of these institutions, their hostility and ruthlessness are known, ”he wrote.

According to the paramedic, if even “half of that annoyance was used for real action,” one could get closer to a situation where the system would actually be patient friendly.

“And the sharpest thing I snorted was the phrase “there are no better and worse patients” - because the head of state was waiting in line for the procedure? Deputy Govin also spent time in the emergency room? (…) Everyone pisses on health problems until the problems affect them personally. A moment later, they pee again. This is a spectacle, ladies and gentlemen, where on the one hand a controversial doctor, on the other a crowd of people angry with inequality (…). And so her sentence came out - a spark that fell into a powder keg, an increasingly tired and helpless society, ”added Svitala.

Dorota Koryczynska, President of the Polish Cancer Federation, spoke in the same tone (though without harsh words). He believes that in the discussion and all the hatred that pours out on Mama Gynecology, what was missed was that Basic women’s surveys are so inaccessible that knowledge is needed to conduct them “at the NFZ”.

What threatens the mother of a gynecologist?

Immediately after the first criticisms, Nicole Sochacki-Wujcicka emphasized that she was a doctor by vocation. “Each of my patients has a phone number for me.. In gynecology, and in obstetrics in particular, it is impossible to predict when my help will be needed, so patients often report this way. Whether they are my private friends (rarely) or not (very often).

According to the regulations, for violating the code of medical ethics (this is what the doctor is publicly accused of), Mamie the Gynecologist may even face deprivation of the right to practice medicine.
