Meningioma is one of the most commonly diagnosed brain tumors. In the case of meningioma, malignant tumors capable of metastasizing account for about 10% of all tumors. About 90% of diagnosed meningiomas are benign tumors. What are the symptoms of meningioma? Are herbs used to treat brain tumors? How effective are they? We explain.

The brain is one of many organs in which cancer cells can develop. Cancer cells divide uncontrollably, which leads to the formation of a cancerous tumor. Meningioma is the most commonly diagnosed brain lesion. This tumor is located within the meninges and meninges of the spinal cord. In fact, in the case of this tumor, we are not dealing with a typical brain tumor, but with a meningioma classified in this category, because as it grows, the tumor presses on the surrounding brain structures, causing various symptoms.
One of the symptoms of meningioma can be, for example, sensory disturbances. The location of the tumor means that it often also causes visual disturbances, such as double vision.
Meningioma - what you need to know about this cancer?
Meningiomas are malignant growths that usually grow slowly. They may not cause symptoms that would require a visit to the doctor for a very long time. In most cases, a tumor arising from the meninges is discovered by chance, for example, during research aimed at diagnosing other diseases.
Meningioma can form at any age. This tumor is more common in middle-aged and older women. The risk of developing the disease is significantly increased by mutations in the ASXL1, TET2, NF2, TERT, and DNMT3A genes. Because of the genetic background of meningioma, it can be inherited. People whose close relatives are diagnosed with meningioma should systematically undergo examinations to detect a tumor at an early stage of its development. At the stage of diagnosing meningioma, the following studies are carried out: magnetic resonance imaging.
Not every meningioma requires specialized treatment. Small tumors that do not cause symptoms require regular monitoring. Treatment for meningiomas includes surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Treatment methods are selected individually for a particular patient.
Brain Tumor: Can Diet Cure Cancer?
It has long been known that diet can increase the risk of various types of cancer and affect our health in different ways. Our lifestyle also affects the risk of developing cancer. Year by year, awareness of the risks associated with eating foods rich in highly processed foods, red meat and simple sugars, which are “food” for cancer cells, is increasing. General guidelines for a healthy diet to prevent cancer and other diseases include eating natural and unprocessed foods, such as vegetables and fruits, legumes, whole grains, and healthy fats.
To improve health and reduce the risk of developing many diseases, it is also recommended to frequently eat marine fish and plants that have properties that reduce chronic inflammation and oxygen free radicals, from which cancer cells can arise. Doctors have been promoting the use of a healthy diet for many years, which affects the general condition of our body, supporting its natural defense mechanisms. The lack of adequate protection from the immune system is now common, as evidenced by, among other things, allergies that develop at different stages of life.
Phytotherapy (phytotherapy) in the treatment of cancer
For many years, intensive research has been carried out to find a cure for cancer. More and more physicians are using natural therapies to support the therapeutic process. The beneficial effects of herbs and a properly formulated diet for various cancers have been confirmed by numerous studies. However, it should be noted that herbal medicine cannot replace traditional methods of treatment.
The abandonment of surgical treatment and anti-cancer therapy in favor of herbal treatment is not recommended by both herbalists and oncologists, who are increasingly using natural methods of treatment.
Numerous studies confirm the enormous potential of natural substances that can be used to support cancer therapy. In various research centers around the world, it was possible to extract natural compounds of plant origin that effectively inhibit the development of cancer, and are also capable of intensifying the cancer process, negatively affecting the course of treatment.
Both herbalists and oncologists agree on one key issue - diet can increase the risk of developing cancer, leading to pathological changes within cells, and also contribute to the treatment of cancer.
It is important to note that substances found naturally in foods and medicinal plants have long been used in the fight against cancer cells. They are aimed, among other things, at reducing the side effects of anti-cancer therapy, which include, for example, persistent vomiting after chemotherapy, chronic fatigue and damage to healthy cells, since anti-cancer therapy affects the entire body.
Herbal treatment for meningioma
Treatment of meningioma with herbs and dietary supplements can bring good results if carried out under the supervision of an experienced physician. The independent use of herbs and dietary supplements for cancer and the rejection of traditional treatment are not recommended by specialists. On the one hand, herbs and active compounds present in food effectively support the healing process, but if used improperly, they can worsen the patient’s condition, leading, among other things, to accelerate the growth of cancer cells.
Herbs for meningioma and any other cancer should be selected individually. Patients in many oncology hospitals can use natural therapies recommended by oncologists, avoiding the risks associated with using herbal remedies on their own.
The basis for the selection of treatment using herbs and dietary supplements are the results of tests that allow you to accurately determine the type of cancer, as well as its stage. Increasingly, immunotherapy based on natural compounds from food and herbs is used in the treatment of cancer patients, the purpose of which is not only to stimulate the human immune system to fight cancer, but also to reduce the side effects and side effects of conventional anti-cancer therapies.
Patients included in the study group responded well to the use of medicinal herbs and certain types of food, selected according to the content of biologically active compounds for the type of cancer. The safety of the use of natural remedies in the treatment of oncological diseases largely depends on the knowledge and experience of the specialist who manages the selection of natural preparations and nutritional components of oncological patients.
