Recently, the president signed a law according to which the conscription age in Ukraine is reduced – from 27 to 25 years. We are talking about changes to the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service”, adopted by parliament back in May 2023.

However, the draft age may remain at 27 years old, if in the “mobilization” bill, which is being prepared in parliament for the second reading, it is not reduced to 25. He commented on this situation on the air of “News Live”. People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Dunda

“According to the norms of the law, the more recent law, the last one that was adopted, is in force. In this case, the mobilization bill will be in force. But I think if there is such a decision – 27 and 25, then, most likely, there will be a veto of the president on this item. There is a tool to solve this, including,” – he added.

Let us recall that the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Lozinsky said that the General Staff and the Parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense will propose provisions on demobilization in the bill on mobilization. According to him, the approach should be different for combat and non-combat positions.
