In Ukraine, where there is a general mobilization, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved a new procedure for military registration. The corresponding resolution No. 1487 “On approval of the procedure for organizing and maintaining military records of conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists” was adopted on December 30, 2022.
So, now reconciliation of data on recruits can be carried out by going around the yards sanctioned by local authorities (mayor, village or settlement chairman). It will also be possible to submit information about yourself for the military registration and enlistment office through the Action when declaring a place of residence (the procedure and mechanism should be developed by the Ministry of Defense).
The resolution also spelled out the interaction between the Unified State Register of Persons liable for military service and other state databases. That is, fresh data about the conscript will automatically go to the military.
They will be able to hire or train a person liable for military service only after presenting them with a valid military ID (including through an Action) or registering for military service. Women doctors or pharmacists who were not registered with the military prior to the approval of this Order can be employed as non-military until the end of 2026.
The heads of enterprises were charged with the obligation to notify employees of the draft and to prove the order to them under signature. Also, the heads of enterprises, institutions, government bodies and organizations will now have to hand in subpoenas about appearing at the military registration and enlistment office.
Also, now the diplomatic departments will keep military records among Ukrainians abroad and “facilitate” their return to Ukraine during mobilization, wartime and a special period. All employment centers will provide information on unemployed persons liable for military service.
