On December 6, in Obukhov, the community forever said goodbye to the warrior Vladimir Storozhik. The senior gunner of the anti-tank platoon of the 72nd brigade devoted himself to the struggle for the independence of Ukraine. He was 36 years old.

All his adult life he saw himself as a military man. There is such a profession: to defend the Motherland. It was all about him. Vladimir was a very courageous, strong, brave warrior, and at the same time very kind. For brothers and friends could come to the rescue in any situation. Since 2014 - served in the hottest spots in the ATO: Mariupol, Lysichansk, Gorenko, Donetsk airport. Since the beginning of a full-scale war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Volodya immediately went to defend his homeland. And here he was in the most difficult points of the defense line: Gostomel, Kyiv. In recent months, he defended the Donetsk region. And again, the most difficult front line, the front line. After being wounded and shell-shocked, without waiting for the conclusion of the medical commission, he returned to his brothers at the front with the words: “Who, if not me,” - reports the Obukhov city territorial society - From November 10 to November 11, 2022, the car in which Vladimir and his comrades were traveling on a combat mission exploded on a mini.

It is known that this happened near the village of Pobeda, Starobeshevsky district. For a long time, relatives hoped that the warrior survived. For almost a month they lived by faith in this, but it proved to be the worst.

Recall, an interview with military commander Yulia Kiriyenko to FACTS about the battles near Bakhmut: “Russians do not count people. It’s kind of a crazy herd.”
