— To be honest, it still hurts to remember everything… But the world must know the truth about the atrocities of the occupiers, - says Oleg Chulok. - Before the war, I worked in a neighboring village as an elevator operator, enjoying life with my beloved Yulia. When enemies entered the Chernihiv region, they began to make anti-tank “hedgehogs” with their neighbors - this is how they prepared for a meeting with the Russian army. They patrolled the streets of their native village.
On March 2, I went on duty with fellow villagers, which took place from eight in the morning until ten in the evening. Before lunch, we became aware that the convoy was driving Russian vehicles. We got into the car with a neighbor and went to meet them. Since there was a bad connection, it turned out on the spot that only we had arrived. More than 15 enemy combat vehicles were noticed near the central park, which stopped us and began to inspect the car of my neighbor Vova. They searched for Molotov cocktails, but did not find them, and the man was released.
Then they began to review my Mazda, where the same anti-tank “hedgehogs” were in the box. I saw how rashists in the eyes just boiled anger! They threw me face down on the ground and immediately started kicking me, shouting: “Bitch, do you know how many of our columns burned down because of this?!” After that, they took away my phone and cigarettes and began interrogation. I tried to explain that we did not attack anyone, we do not want this war. Tried to let go. But soon an infantry fighting vehicle arrived and one of the crew started shooting at me without a word. One ball hit the pelvis, the other broke the bone in the leg. Aimed for defeat! I was lying behind the car, my legs were on the pavement, and my torso was on the curb. Decided to pretend to be dead so as not to finish off. He stretched out, groaned and fell silent. the occupants seemed to have left.
However, according to the interlocutor, it was too early to exhale with relief. When he opened his eyes, he noticed three more enemy war machines.
“I knew they wouldn’t stop.” - says Oleg. - I decided to crawl into the park, but I could not feel my leg, some piece of meat was hanging on it. Despite the terrible pain and loss of strength, I managed to crawl 15-20 meters behind a tree. I look because of him - and my car is crushed and lying around where I was a couple of minutes ago.

- It was already dark, suddenly I heard conversations in Ukrainian, – continues the interlocutor. - At your own risk, I decided to call for help. Thank God they were local. They helped me get into the ambulance, they helped me at the local hospital - they took an x-ray, after which they made a shattered arm during the operation. Ripped nerves, muscles, vein …
I was pulled out of the other world because I received a lot of blood loss. The intervention lasted four hours. The next day, I felt much worse, they began to transfuse blood - they found it in my fellow villager, who had just undergone an operation. Medicines were taken away from Gomel, because other routes were occupied.
So I lay in the Repkinskaya hospital for two months. When the de-occupation took place, I was transferred to Chernihiv to the regional medical facility. The cast was removed, but the hand grew crooked, because there was no place to find a plate then. So they broke it down and put it back together.

- Then my stomach began to hurt - it turned out that because of the shelling by the rashists, a bubble formed on my intestines with bursting manure, - Oleg continues. - Diagnosed with peritonitis, urgently operated on. Twice doctors opened abscesses of the abdominal cavity through these abscesses.
Due to the state of health, says Oleg Panchokha, he was fired from his job, so he was left without income. But the main thing now is recovery and rehabilitation:
I want to get on my feet, but so far I’m only getting up on crutches. The leg hurts all the time. The other day, the sixth operation is due. I do not regret what happened, because I defended my native land from the enemy. Too bad I couldn’t stop them. But the main thing is alive, because a car is a pile of metal.
Earlier talked about a courageous pensioner from the village of Rudka in the Chernihiv region, who fought the rashists.
