Over the past day, the enemy launched 4 missile and 27 air strikes, carried out more than 75 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on military and civilian targets on the territory of Ukraine. The Russians shelled the Donetsk and Nikolaev regions, as well as Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye. More than 45 settlements suffered from enemy strikes.

During the day, units of the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk, Disputed, Mayorsk, Zaitsevo, Avdeevka, Novomikhailovka, Poprosnoye and Kamenka. Our aviation hit 25 enemy manpower and military equipment concentration areas and 6 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems. Air defense units in different directions destroyed the Mi-8 helicopter and 9 UAVs of infidels. Rocket troops and artillery inflicted fire damage, in particular, on 6 command posts, 4 areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment, 3 air defense positions, 3 artillery positions, as well as 3 ammunition depots.

And in the operational command “South” they added that in this direction Ukrainian aviation inflicted 13 strikes on the enemy, air defense forces shot down 5 kamikaze drones sent by the enemy at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nikolaevsky and Bashtansky districts. Rocket and artillery units completed about 280 fire missions, including the defeat of 2 command posts in Berislav and Nova Kakhovka, 3 cells of enemy forces and equipment in the Kherson and Kakhov regions, and an ammunition depot in Berislavsky.

Once again, a control fire defeat stopped the enemy’s attempts to send a column of military equipment across the Kakhovka bridge at nightfall. The confirmed losses of the enemy are 18 rashists, 3 Msta-B and Msta-S large-caliber howitzers, 2 tanks and 2 units of other auto-armored vehicles. The data is being scouted. Also, a successful defeat was confirmed on the eve of a pontoon crossing in the Lviv region.

Over the past day, another 550 infidels and a significant amount of enemy equipment were liquidated. In particular, 18 tanks and 14 artillery systems. The enemy suffered the greatest losses in the Kramatorsk and Donetsk directions.

The General Staff adds that the enemy continues to suffer losses, including among the leadership. So, in the area of ​​​​the village of Svatovo, the commander of the 144th motorized rifle division of the 20th combined arms army, Major General Oleg Tsokov, was wounded. He was appointed to command this division in August 2022, and already on September 20, the wounded general was evacuated.

“From 19 to 20 September this year, 105 bodies of dead Russian servicemen were delivered to a military hospital in Rostov-on-Don, and preparatory measures are being taken to receive another 200 bodies in the near future. To make up for losses in manpower, the enemy continues forced mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, on September 19, in Gorlovka, representatives of the 1st Army Corps detained and took ten men to military service, regardless of their age or state of health. Between September 18 and 20 of this year, representatives of a Russian private company unsuccessfully tried to recruit prisoners in the Lugansk pre-trial detention center.”, - the General Staff reported and added that in the occupied Crimea, local authorities plan to recruit the main number of reservists from among employees of private security companies with experience in military service. In Sevastopol, some firms have already been instructed to prepare lists of all eligible employees.

It is also known about the early graduation in Smolensk of cadets of the military academy of air defense of the armed forces of the Russian Federation named after Marshal Vasilevsky.

And the President of Ukraine, in his video message, noted that although the Russians announced the partial mobilization of 300,000 people, they actually want to draft about a million citizens into the army.
