Kualen is a ruthless and calculating former military intelligence officer who is willing to kill anyone to recover $100,000,000 in briefcases lost somewhere in the Colorado Rockies.

Lithgow easily delivers the film’s best performance, as his intimidating image makes it difficult for viewers to take their eyes off him every time he appears onscreen. Every moment of his screen time is devoted to how cruel and incorrigible his character is. Kualen is a ruthless evil genius responsible for the deaths of many characters and willing to sacrifice his teammates to secure his fortune.

9 Louis Bloom - Nightcrawler (2014)

night bum sees Jake Gyllenhaal as a manipulator and merciless criminal, ready to make a name for himself in the dangerous world of video journalism. It tells the story of con artist Louis Bloom (Gyllenhaal) who comes to Los Angeles to do his best to become a famous nightcrawler.

Louis was willing to commit many crimes and even endanger the lives of others in his selfish desire to build a successful media empire. Gyllenhaal did a fantastic job portraying an anti-social criminal who is as mysterious as he is dangerous. The character’s most unforgivable act in the film was the deliberate murder of his partner Rick (Riz Ahmed) after he became a threat to his operation.

8 Cyrus “Virus” Grissom - “Con Air” (1997)

John Malkovich plays the wily Cyrus “Virus” Grissom in this great ’90s action-adventure dark comedy. When prisoners led by Cyrus hijack a high security prisoner transport plane, it’s up to recently released ex-convict Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) stop the convicts before they can fly to freedom.

Althoughmany critics thought Con Air as pointless entertainment, it still produced a well-crafted and funny antagonist in the form of Cyrus, who manages to remain memorable more than anyone else in an all-star cast full of over-the-top characters. He stood out as the most deadly and most cunning criminal in a series of cold-blooded killers.

Samuel L. Jackson gives a unique and interesting introduction to the villain as a charming yet deadly eco-terrorist in this hilarious spy action game. To reverse the effects of global warming, eccentric tech billionaire Richmond Valentine (Jackson) decides to build a new world order by using his latest inventions to wipe out most of humanity.

Valentine was outwardly friendly, helpful person who tried to appear as a savior. He sincerely believed that his plan was the only way to help the planet. However, underneath his likable personality was a smug and genocidal monster who chose who would live and die in the new world he created for himself.

6 Amy Dunn - Gone Girl (2014)

His actions and the way he justified his behavior helped make Noah Cross a truly despicable antagonist that audiences sure love to hate.

In the end, he could easily have won if not for the courageous actions of the heroic police officer John McClane (Bruce Willis).
