After completing the original mission to return Zim to his mother, Ezran (Sasha Rozhen), Callum (Jack De Sena), while their friends face a new obstacle: Aaravos (Eric Dellums). When the series entered a new story arc, its title changed to Dragon Prince: Secrets of Aaravos, signaling the importance of the Startouch Elf. However, while in prison, Aaravos did little in his two seasons as the protagonist of the conflict. Sure, his presence seems to be big and the characters rush to find his prison to either free him or keep him in line, but Aaravos himself was more active in earlier seasons than in season 5.
The infamous character is an ancient being imprisoned long before the series due to his careful manipulation. He is said to pose such a threat that the Dragon King Avizandum (Chris Metzen), ordered a special prison for him and spread the word about it to the Archdragons so that no one could ever find it. Yet Aaravos found a way to manipulate Viren (Jason Simpson) from his prison and threatens to break free with the help of Viren and Claudia (Raquel Belmonte). Dragon Queen ZubeyaNicole Oliver), and everyone who knows about Aaravos fears what he might do if he escapes, prompting another world-saving quest. But in these seasons, Aaravos has done nothing to prove how dangerous he is. If Aaravos is as dangerous as everyone describes, then it’s time for him to do something other than show off. Up to this point, the only mystery about him is his absence from the show.
What did Aaravos do in the fifth season of The Dragon Prince?
Aaravos was almost absent in the fourth season, but this season a new story was being laid. Since the plot was just beginning, Aaravos’ lack of involvement was almost forgivable. But as the arc progresses, Aaravos should pose a bigger threat, and Season 5 doesn’t. In fact, there was less of him in season 5 than before. Including Aaravos does have problems as he is still in prison. He had overcome this problem in the past, but only with the help of magic and Avizandum’s mirror. With a mirror that serves as a window to his prison, long since abandoned under Zubei’s watchful eye, and a “little bug friend” that allowed him to communicate with Viren, now transformed into the silent Sir Sparklepuff, Aaravos was incommunicado for most parts of the 5th season. the harm of the show.
Despite their attempts to free him, Claudia and Viren have little to no contact with him. Basically, Aaravos waits in his prison, appearing in only two episodes. First, he appears at Janai (Rena Anakwe) to dream. He threatens the Sunfire Elf Queen and reveals that he was involved in her grandmother’s death, but viewers don’t hear how this happened until the last episode. Only after that, Aaravos returns to reenact the dream and claims to have swallowed Janai’s grandmother. In the season finale, he also appears to Viren, suggesting a way to prolong the expiring spell to resurrect the blood of Viren’s child, Sir Twilight. Viren rejects dark magic and Aaravos assures him that he will die. Although it is explained in the episode that Aaravos is looking forward to his freedom and feels that Claudia is close to his prison, he does nothing more. If the show wants Aaravos to be a master manipulator, it’s time for him to really become one. Even while in prison, Aaravos has been a threat before, so why is he struggling to arrange his release?
The Dragon Prince had more of Aaravos before he became the main villain
Aaravos is not a new character, as his plot began in Season 1 with a mysterious mirror that Viren had previously stolen from Avizandum. The story shows how Viren reveals the secret and sees Aaravos, although he does not hear him. Viren and Aaravos continue to work together, communicating through the being that would become Sir Sparklepuff. Thanks to the plan of Aaravos, Viren ascends the throne and wages war with Xadia. For now, the conflict is still focused on Ezran’s fight for peace and unity through the return of Zim, but Aaravos plays an active role in manipulating Viren.
Even though he became the center of the story, his role in season 4 was somewhat reduced. However, Aaravos still plays a significant role. At the direction of Aaravos, Claudia resurrects the fallen Viren. And in his new role as High Warlock, Callum investigates the mirror, eventually learning about Aaravos through Zubei. Zubeia tells the story of Aaravos, briefly explaining why he is dangerous and how he ended up in prison. But his most important scene in season 4 is when Aaravos possesses Callum through a mirror. After possessing Callum’s body, Aaravos uses it to threaten the other heroes, scaring Callum to the point where he asks Rayla (Paula Burroughs) to kill him if it happens again. This single act shows him to be dangerous even from his prison, but Season 5 doesn’t expand on that, which is a plot issue. The series has struggled with pace for a long time, and Aaravos’ plot is no different.
The Dragon Prince must explore the mysteries of Aaravos

An ancient and powerful evil makes a good villain, but only if they are still doing something at the present time. The show has already proven that he Maybe be dangerous out of his prison, so why isn’t he in this season? Aside from the desire for freedom, Aaravos’ goals are as unknown as his abilities. In his limited appearances, Aaravos alludes to the plan, but gives no indication of what it might be or what he is trying to do. The legends have given him a terrifying reputation, but he has done nothing to support it. By holding back Aaravos, the show continues to create expectations that he may not be able to live up to. If Aaravos is supposed to be pulling the strings, it’s time for the audience to see it or he risks becoming a disappointment.
