The predatory actions of humans around the world have put us on an inexorable path of planetary destruction to the point where we fear when and how nature will strike back. Director Thomas Cayleywho writes the script Pauline Munier, animal kingdom (animal kingdom) explores these anxieties by imagining a near future in which humans are slowly turning into animals. It’s an exciting concept, complete with great practical effects and emotional performances.

François’ wife has been turned into a Thing, and once she’s moved to a complex in the south of France, the family moves to stay close to her, hoping for a possible cure and reunion. Unfortunately, chaos soon breaks into their lives after an accident unleashes dozens of creatures, including Francois’ wife. What makes things even more complicated is that Emil is starting to change too, and he does his best to hide it from other people.
‘Animal Kingdom’ struggles with the pace

For example, the story is often presented as a fantasy adventure for the whole family, where the music is uplifting and the goal is to end with a positive message. Nevertheless, animal kingdom also tries to delve into the body horror resulting from the mutation, with a couple of heartbreaking scenes that are beautiful on their own, but feel out of place overall.
The end of the “Animal Kingdom” holds him back
