Looks like we’ll be spending some more time with Fast Family, as fast and furious star VIN diesel apparently confirmed the long-awaited Quick X is the first chapter of a trilogy. So far we have believed Quick X was part of a two-movie story set to end the Fast & Furious saga, but obviously Universal will be trying to squeeze some more mind-blowing racing scenes out of our beloved franchise.
Over the past two decades in Fast and Furious the franchise has won a legion of fans by mixing over the top car chases with deeply emotional stories revolving around a found family of noble criminals. However, since all good things come to an end, Universal decided to put an end to fast saga brought with a bang Justin Lin to stage a two-episode finale. As Lin presided over every part of the saga from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift To Fast & Furious 6before returning for F9, the director felt like the perfect choice to say goodbye to Dom Toretto (Diesel) and his family. However, after reports of Lin and Diesel’s creative clashes, the director left the project.
