Monica Bellucci (Ghost, Passion of Christ) starred in the comedy sequel as Beltejus’ wife, according to Hollywood Reporter. Michael Keatonstar of the original film, reprises his iconic role, and director Tim Burton also returns to watch the film.
The details of the plot have not yet risen from the grave Beetlejuice 2, although the sequel has been waiting for a long time. The original film, released in 1988, starred Keaton. Geena DavisAnd Alec Baldwin and follows a recently deceased couple (Davis and Baldwin) who contact Beetlejuice (Keaton) to scare off a family that has moved into their former home. Winona Ryder And Katherine O’Harawho portray the mother and daughter of the family moving into the house will also return in the sequel.
Beetlejuice 2 it currently premieres in theaters on September 6, 2024. The sequel will be Burton’s first theatrical project in five years, the last time he directed Dumbo for Disney in 2019. Jenna Ortegastar of the popular Netflix series Wednesdaywould reunite with Burton for the film, playing the daughter of Ryder’s character. Justin Theroux will also star in the sequel, though his role has not been revealed at this time. Beetlejuice 2 would be the first collaboration with Burton for both Bellucci and Theroux.
Having starred primarily in Italian films, Bellucci is sure to give the sequel an extra dose of star power. Currently, it can be seen opposite Toni Collette in action comedy mafia mom. Fans probably know her for her role as Persephone in Lukewarm Matrix sequels, The Matrix Reloaded And Matrix revolutions.
