Spy x Family The story takes place during a fictional Cold War in which the nations of Ostania in the east and Vestalia in the west are at war. Lloyd Forger
“Marriage, ordinary happiness? I shed these aspirations, as well as my personality, the day I became a spy.” Spy x Family - secret Vestalis spy, Loyd Forger (Takuya Eguchi), operating under the code name “Twilight” for the government organization WISE. Loid’s backstory is unknown, as he abandoned all connections from his past to work as a spy. Besides being a handsome, tall blond man, Loyd’s greatest weapon is his razor-sharp intellect. He is a jack of all trades: a skilled marksman, a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, and a master of camouflage.. At the beginning of the anime, he is assigned by WISE to spy on Ostanian politician Donovan Desmond, who is working in the shadows to spark a new war. He must build a fake family consisting of a wife and child. In doing so, Loyd adopts an orphan named Anya, giving him the opportunity to enroll her in Eden Academy to bond with Desmond’s son, Damien. Luckily for Loyd, he stumbles upon a beautiful civil servant, Yor, who agrees to be Anya’s mother to his ideal family for reasons of her own.
Lloyd acts as the father of the Forger family. Spy x Family. Thanks to Anya’s telepathic abilities, she is the only one in the family who knows that her father is a spy. Yor has no idea of Loyd’s identity and does not know her true job as an assassin. As an undercover agent, Loyd is naturally cold, logical, calculating and considerate. However, when he takes on the role of a father, he gradually warms up to Anya’s charming quirks and his aura becomes softer. When he’s away, Loyd often plans ways to carry out Operation STRIX, but he soon realizes that starting a family requires more emotional effort than he realized, leading to his greatest weakness: overthinking. As the series progresses, it becomes clear that Loyd will do almost anything to make his “fake” family happy, occasionally bringing a genuine smile to his face.
Yor Forger
“I’m sorry to bother you… but can I strangle your body, mister?” Secret killer of the underground organization “Garden”, Yor Briar (Saori Hayami), operates under the code name “Princess of Thorns”. Yor became an assassin to provide for her younger brother Yuri Briar (Kensho Ono), when both were orphaned in childhood. The garden works for the government of Ostanin, which technically makes Yor an enemy of Loyd’s. At a young age, Yor mastered martial arts, possessed enormous physical abilities and excellent tolerance for pain. Completing missions to kill the Shopkeeper (Junichi Suwabe), Yor’s main goal is to kill evil and vile people in order to make the lives of the innocent better.
V Spy x Family, Yor Briar works as a government employee. She agrees to enter into a fictitious marriage with Loyd Forger to cover up her profession as an assassin. She then becomes the adoptive mother of Anya Forger, with whom she quickly develops a wonderful bond. Yor is exceptionally beautiful and powerful, but her appearance easily deceives her enemies. In reality, Yor is a withdrawn young woman who has very few friends other than her colleagues. Aside from murder, Yoru lacks street smarts. She constantly worries about being a good mother and wife in her family role. because she’s a terrible cook. But, despite the obvious shortcomings, Yor compensates for them with excellent cleanliness, kindness and charming gullibility. Like Loyd, Yor will make sure that her family, fake or not, is protected at all costs, even if it means she has to politely ask her victims to commit suicide.

Anya Forger
“Dad is the biggest liar in the world… but he’s a bad liar.” Daughter of the Forger family Spy x Family This is Ann(Atsumi Tanezaki), an orphaned telepathic child adopted by Loid for Operation STRIX. Formerly known as Subject 007, Anya’s ability to read minds was the result of a random experiment conducted by an unnamed organization. Little is known about Anya’s past before she became the adopted daughter of Loid and Yor Forger. Her telepathy allows her to read the minds of both people and animals.. However, she must be at a certain distance to achieve this skill.
Loyd enrolls Anya in first grade at Eden Academy, quickly realizing that his daughter’s intelligence may not match his mission. Although Anya has telepathy, she has difficulty concentrating on her studies, causing her grades in school to fall below average. The downside to her strength is her weakness in control. Anya is unable to filter her telepathy when surrounded by large groups of people, resulting in dizziness and nosebleeds. However, Anya is a cheerful, eccentric girl and her greatest power is the ability to spot nearby enemies and see through her father’s disguise.. The funniest thing about Anya’s character is that she is the only one in the world. Spy x Family who knows Loid and Yor’s true identities, and despite this, she still deeply loves them as her true family.
Bond Forger
Just as important as the role of mother, father and daughter, every happy family needs a dog in their life. His name is Bond, aka Subject 8. Bond (Kenichiro Matsuda) was a laboratory experiment of the nefarious “Project Apple” run by the Ostania government. During his trials he acquired acute powers of perception and became clairvoyant.. K9 was brutally tortured until his mind gained the ability to see the future. Bond was then sold on the black market and purchased by terrorist Keith Kepler, who planned to use him to assassinate Vestal Minister Branz.
In episode 13, Anya meets Bond on her way home from the pet fair. There is an instant intellectual connection between them, and Bond shares the vision of their joint family. Anya ends up following Bond to a terrorist hideout, where she is captured and later rescued by Bond. Anya and Bond realize that they have similar psychic abilities and he is eventually adopted into the family by the Forgers; Anya named him after her favorite cartoon character Bondma. Bond’s life with the Forgers is relatively happy, using his intelligence to save children and intimidating his enemies with his large size. Bond is a quiet, loving and protective dog who is much loved in his new home.
