Nobody likes when something bad happens to cute animals on the screen. No real animals were harmed in the making Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in accordance with James Gunnbut there is definitely some unsettling material as the movie explores Raccoon Rocket (Bradley Cooper) dark backstory. He and his brethren are mistreated by Chukwudi IwujiThe High Evolutionary, a character so despicable that Gunn couldn’t stress enough how much everyone absolutely hated him. However, in real life, Iwuji couldn’t be further away from himself onscreen.

own collider Perry Nemiroff interviewed the film’s cast and crew and asked Iwuji about his relationship with cute and cuddly creatures when he’s not in character. The High Evolutionary is a fanatic who experiments with animals locked in filthy cages and turns them into something they were never meant to be. His actions left the young Rocket alone in the universe until he joined forces with his found family, the Guardians of the Galaxy.

We’re happy to report that Iwuji actually has his own dog, which he cherishes in real life, but being a pet owner made filming the scenes where he shows his anger to Rocket and other creatures even more devastating. For the actor, who saw his dog in the eyes of the adorable baby Rocket, the movie was a tough one after the movie. When asked about his relationship with the dog, he said:

“Yes. I have a great dog. A schnoodle, schnauzer and poodle mix named Cicero, whom I adore and who every time I saw a finished Rocket, I saw - they have the same eyes! I was heartbroken. I was completely destroyed are watching the movie because they literally have the same eyes.”

The MCU is a big evil.
