New trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was released by Warner Bros. James WanThe sequel is quickly approaching its theatrical release date. Arthur Curry (English)Jason Momoa) is the king of Atlantis, but now he is also the father of the child, as stated in the promotional material for the film. Arthur Curry has faced many dangerous threats during his career as a superhero, but… Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will mark the return of the very evil Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). After the villain was introduced in the first part, he vowed to return for the king of Atlantis. An ancient artifact called the Black Trident will allow him to do this, as the device can easily rival Aquaman in power. To defeat the villain, Arthur will need Orm (Patrick Wilson) help, even if in the first film the couple participated in a duel to the death.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will continue Arthur Curry’s journey five years after the first installment grossed over $1 billion at the global box office. James Wan’s previous film about the King of Atlantis featured his mother, Queen Atlantis (Nicole Kidman) was actually alive all these years while Orm secretly planned to take the throne. Arthur also appeared in projects such as Justice League And Peacemakerserving as a link between projects set within the broader DC Extended Universe. But now the franchise will come to an end, and a new version of the DCU will take its place.
