It’s been a great time for Spider-Man fans over the past few years. Whether it’s live action, animation, or video games, the web head is living its best superhero life. This looks set to continue with the release of the highly anticipated film. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The continuation of the popular Oscar-winning animated film will again talk about Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy, aka Ghost Spider (Hailee Steinfeld) in another crazy multiverse adventure. Now, to coincide with the film’s summer release, Sony Pictures Animation and Imageworks will also be releasing a new spider verse short, Spider insidewhich will debut at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival this June.
The short, reported by Variety, is part of Sony’s new LENS (Leading and Empowering New Storytellers) mentoring program, and Miles is still trying to balance his new superhero identity with his everyday teenage life. However, what makes this short film unique is that Miles will be dealing with a panic attack after a stressful day where the pressures of both worlds fall on him. This short film will focus on finding the strength within yourself to ask for help and confront your own anxiety. More than any other comic book hero, be it Peter, Miles or Gwen in disguise, Spider-Man has always been the most recognizable hero. Despite their great strength, they have always been portrayed as deeply human. This short film takes the Web back to its roots and challenges the hero to deal with his teenage issues. There is nothing more characteristic of a young person than a panic attack or paralyzing anxiety. This short film is sure to be a great vehicle for kids and frankly people of all ages to know they are not alone. Even our favorite superheroes deal with everyday problems, and real heroes aren’t afraid to admit it.
What Through the universes of spiders ABOUT?
Bye Spider inside sounds like it will be a separate story from its cinematic counterpart, the classic Spider-Man balance theme is sure to be alive and well in Through the universes of spiders. In this epic sequel, Miles and Gwen will continue to explore their relationship in an even bigger multiverse adventure. An adventure where Spider-Man Mayla takes on other Spider-Men sworn to protect the multiverse when they can’t agree on how to deal with a new threat. The new threat is most likely the classic villain Spot, and the sheer number of Spider-Men that have both friends and foes include Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), Spider Woman (Issa Ray), Spiderman India (Karan Soni), and Spider-Punk (Daniel Kaluuya).
When the first film was released in 2018, it captivated moviegoers with its breathtaking animation, emotional story, and endless love for every aspect of the Spider-Man mythos. This would lead to the film winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Of everything we’ve seen so far, Through the universes of spiders it seems to be an even bigger and better film that uses the weighty heart of the original.
When Through the universes of spiders Release?
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse releases in theaters on June 2, 2023, with its sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters on March 29, 2024. Spider inside The short will make its debut again at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, taking place from 11 to 17 June 2023 in Annecy, France.
